The Cobalt Blue Tarantula (Cyriopagopus lividus) is a striking, Old World tarantula known for its iridescent blue legs and dark body, native to Myanmar and Thailand. It's a fossorial (burrowing) species that lives in deep burrows, making it shy and reclusive, but also defensive and fast, with a painful bite, making it best suited for experienced keepers. They require a deep, moist substrate in their enclosure to facilitate burrowing and good ventilation.
